Dear QVH Clients,
As Governor Hogan has now said that we will transition to phase one of opening the state, our staff is updating our protocols to keep our doctors, staff and clients as safe and healthy as possible. We are taking the following measures so that we are able to continue to serve you and your pets while doing our part to limit the spread of disease.
When you arrive at QVH, remain in your car and give us a call at 410-827-6776. We will ask you to identify your vehicle by the parking spot number on the sign at your parking space. We would like you to remain in your vehicle. A technician will be out to assist you.
Our building will reopen for clients who have made the difficult decision to euthanize their pet. All clients are required to wear a mask and do their best to allow distance between themselves and staff members.
Per the recommendations of the Maryland State Board of Veterinary Medicine we are now permitted to perform elective and wellness procedures. We can schedule surgeries, nail trims and wellness vaccine visits. We are also readjusting our inventory to better assist with prescription refills.
We understand some clients may be reluctant to use our curbside service or may not be able to get their pet into the car without assistance. Those are just a few of the reasons we are offering telemedicine consults through the TeleTails app. Video consults are only $45. Any in-hospital follow-ups will be billed separately. TeleTails connects you with a QVH veterinarian and you will not be talking to a veterinarian who does not work here. In compliance with Maryland laws, we offer video consults for patients with whom we have an existing relationship and have seen in the past year. To begin using TeleTails, follow the following steps:
- Visit Teletails.com
- Download the TeleTails app
- Enable notifications
- Use code QVH
- Request your video consult
In addition to telemedicine, our online pharmacy is available 24/7 with free home delivery. We encourage you to use our online pharmacy as we are able to approve prescriptions from home, in the event we must restrict our hours further. Please visit https://queenstownvet.vetsfirstchoice.com/ to set up your pet’s prescriptions today.
We thank you for your understanding of our protocol changes over the past few weeks. We will continue to update you of any changes. Please feel free to contact us with any questions that you have.
